FAQ's

Who owns the ideas I put into Octonos?

You do. Always. Everything you create in Octonos belongs to you and your team. We do not claim ownership, licensing rights, or reuse your ideas in any way.

Do you use AI or train models on my data?

No. Octonos does not use AI models and does not train or share your data with any third-party AI providers. Your data stays inside your private workspace.

Can Octonos employees see my ideas?

No. Your workspace is private by default. Our team cannot view your ideas, notes, interviews, or validation work unless you explicitly grant access for support purposes.

How is my data secured?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is permission-based, and workspaces are isolated so only invited users can see your content.

Idea Protection

What stops someone from stealing my idea?

Octonos is not a public marketplace. Your ideas are not discoverable, indexed, or shared. Only people you invite can see them.

Should I still be careful sharing sensitive details?

Yes. Octonos is designed for validation, not legal protection. We recommend avoiding trade secrets and protected IP unless you have appropriate agreements in place.

Is Octonos a replacement for NDAs?

No. Octonos helps you organize and validate ideas, but it does not replace legal agreements. For sensitive collaborations, NDAs are still recommended.

Product & Usage

Is Octonos a project management tool?

No. Octonos lives before execution tools like Jira, Linear, or Notion. It helps you decide what deserves to be built in the first place.

Who is Octonos best for?

Founders, creators, consultants, and product teams who want real validation before committing time, money, and roadmap space.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export reports and validation artifacts so you always retain control over your work.
